    be,

"I'm not happy with ACA.  Not in the least.  It's a mess.

But...It does some very important good things for you, my consituents and fellow citizens.

Don't let Republicans take those away.  Elect me to fix the problems with ACA without leaving you back where you were in the bad old days."

    •  "The ACA is a mess" (2+ / 0-)

Yeah there's a winning, inspiring pitch.

      You are kidding, right?

      that is horrible!

What needs improving is minor --- miniscule!

What GOT improved is LIFE OR DEATH.

Thanks Democrats! My Obamacare is permanent coverage no one can take away - and saving $3,000 is nice too

      •  Weasels? (0+ / 0-)

Telling the truth is not being a weasel.

ACA is a terrible law+implementation that has the saving grace of being better than the pre-ACA situation.

What needs improving is Single Payer, which is neither minor nor miniscule.

If we could have done it to begin with, we could have skipped all of the signups drama, and most of the Republican talking points about who is signing up, who has paid, who can't see their previous doctor, and so on. We could have rolled it out four years ago. We would have saved tens of thousands of lives, and dramatically cut costs. We couldn't, for a number of reasons. But we will, at some point.

        •  and always, we need to ask: (0+ / 0-)

once that time comes, and assuming one party controls both houses, which party is more likely to pass single payer?
