    Is that a universal position or a fairly narrow one?

      It depends on the individual in question. I'd be more likely to support a Russ Feingold bid for his old Senate seat than most other scenarios involving a former elected official running for his/her old job, but I tend to be skeptical of former elected officials running for their old jobs (largely because I view it as holding back the next generation of aspiring politicians in this country).

        But in this case with Russ (as you point out) it's a little different.  Strong, thoughtful, outspoken 99er advocates are a rare breed in Wisconsin.

        If Russ ran for anything, I'd support him.
