    And again, thanks for keeping track of the months that you've seen each species. Departure dates are harder to track, but this is a good start.

      years and it hasn't done a bit of good so I don't think you need to worry about any of ours invading you.

      We were gone for most of the day and when we got back to the house this afternoon there was a tree swallow sitting on the nest box that's been used by them the past two years and another sitting on the electric line nearby, so that's an even 50 for me but don't worry about changing it now. I'll just add them to the next tally.

      I've been trying to keep track of departure dates but it's much more difficult as you said. They need to drop me a note to let me know whenever they're getting ready to head out. It just kind of sneaks up on you and one day you realize, hey, I haven't seen any xyz for awhile, or that's how it works with me. At least I'm ending up with a general idea. Dated pics help me to remember that yes they were still here on this or that date.
