  •  I love this version of La Boheme (4+ / 0-)

Thanks for putting it in the diary!

I am not feeling very lively, tonight, so this is the perfect treat.

Two sets of kids and grandbabies have arrived safely in FL for which I am grateful.  One does a grueling drive through of about 22 hours, the other stops overnight.  I heard from both of them, today.

This is my 40,000 comment on DKos with nearly nine years here.

    Best wishes to all here!!

......on TV or video, perhaps?  I'm sure it's been shown on PBS in the pre-HD era, but I couldn't tell you who sang that one without doing some outside research.

Glad to know the descendants arrived back South safely.  (Sorry that they live in the South, but one can't have everything.  Yes, I am a Northerner at heart.)

      •  They are just visiting (3+ / 0-)

where it is warm for spring break.

Both sets have in-laws who live down there.  Well one set only lives there in the winter.   :)

I forgot that you have family living up there, hence all the trips to visit them through snow, ice, etc..

Speaking of La Boheme on YT, I saw one video which I probably should watch before it gets taken down, the video with Carlos Kleiber conducting.  CK was a truly legendary conductor, famous for his very, very few appearances, but each one was apparently pretty amazing for the musicians.
