    I could not stop smoking for the life of me (literally).

    Having a cigarette was the last thing I did before putting my head on the pillow, an the first thing I did when opening my eyes in the morning.

    So quitting was never going to happen for me.

    But I could wait before having that next cigarette.

    And by simply waiting an hour for that next cigarette -  stopping for one hour at a time - I have not had a cigarette in over 10 years.  Along the way, I saved a boat load of money; the constant craving for cigarettes has disappeared; my worry about being around smokers became a non-issue.

    Today I am free, and happy to be free: no one knows freedom like someone who has been enslaved.
