  •  Where does a hair dresser get $5,200 (3+ / 0-)

to contribute to a congressional campaign?

Peacock donated $5,200 to McAllister’s congressional campaign last fall, according to the Federal Election Commission. According to the FEC, Peacock listed her employment at the time of the donation as a self-employed cosmetologist. She joined McAllister’s congressional staff after he took office in November. Photographs posted to Facebook show Peacock was involved in a number of McAllister’s campaign events during last fall’s congressional race.

Peacock’s husband, Heath Peacock, 34, also donated $5,200 to McAllister’s congressional campaign last fall, according to the FEC.

She's a "self-employed cosmetologist", he's a 34-year-old pipeline inspector*. $10,400 is an awful lot of money for them to have lying around.

the pipeline inspector was the one who donated all the money and just used his wife's name.  That is until McAllister, the guy he donated to, decide to inspect his wife's pipes.

Unfortunately for her, she'll likely be the one who will lose out on all this and have her reputation tarnished.  Her husband will likely dump her like yesterday's trash so that she'll have to live on her income from being a self-employed cosmetologist.  Meanwhile he'll continue inspecting pipes and McAllister will get some sort of Republican Welfare doing speaking gigs for some right wing Family Values group, that's provided he doesn't manage to stay on as a Rep.
