    There was still the evening news and newspapers. Had mass killings or woundings occurred, these media would have covered them. Perhaps not in real time as happens now, but we would have heard about them just the same. I am not saying that media coverage causes these events but I am suggesting that the intense exposure could be a factor with someone, who for whatever reason has a temptation to kill or wound as many people as possible in a single incident.

    How can Republicans say they love America when they hate Americans so very much?

      How much did they cover events in other areas?
      Did you hear about all of these at the time?
      I do remember coverage of the McDonalds shooting in '84, and the Stockton school in '89. But I don't remember hearing much of some of the others. Of course, those two were also noteworthy for involving children.
