I loved the story.  The actors did well.  But there was so much of the stupid in this movie. (I started to make a list and it got too long to include.)

I respect the apparent intent of both the screen writers and others who made this movie.  But I seriously question their competence in all but a technical sense.

I write this as a person who has watched all of this Marvel franchise and thinks that some of them were brilliant and all of them were better than this.

(Exception, I have only watched a handful of the S.H.I.E.L.D. tv series and do not include that in my comparison.)

    •  Yes, and I'll see it at least once more in theater (5+ / 0-)

As for the worst MCU film, IMNSHO it's the 2008 Hulk movie.  Edward Norton simply did not work as Bruce Banner.

      •  I've got rather a soft spot for the 08 Hulk... (2+ / 0-)

... and I think that Norton was a better physical representation of Banner, but I agree that Ruffalo's approach to acting the character is much superior.

Oddly, my least favorite is IM2.  I enjoyed it quite a bit, don't get me wrong, but I could have used more Whiplash and less Justin Hammer.

I also considered placing Winter Soldier above Hulk 08 in my estimation but decided the problems I had with Winter Soldier out weighed my not liking Hulk 08 very much.
