    and his utterly devastating, no holds barred take down of George Bush, the right, and all of DC at his White House Correspondents Dinner.

    That was 8 years ago. Colbert's satire's gotten sharper, his wit faster, and his energy supernova since then. CBS are smart enough to let Colbert grow into an even larger personality, because America loves and trusts him.

      out at the dinner. He changed his mind about using them given the rooms response to his routine.
      Scalia was very warm to him afterwards, telling him it was   brilliant.  He found it unsettling to have warm feelings for him.
      That was a gutsy performance
      Will miss his character but look forward to seeing more sides of him
