    ...but I will say that I never looked into Jefferson's slaves because I found that topic very uninteresting - much of the world still believed in slavery back then.

      with his BA in religious studies from ORU, he has discovered documents which professional historians were unaware of or thought was lost.
      OTOH, wingers are great at finding iconic historical items as witnessed by Glenn Beck's ownership of Joseph Smith's pocket watch, the very same watch he traded to satisfy debts when deputies arrived to arrest him.  Beck has not provided a provenance for such a remarkable relic but then who needs proof when you have faith?

        That's why you will never convince a believer through reason and logic.  Everything nonsensical is just a "mystery" or there's a "tension" between this and that - never a contradiction.
