You know, this is actually quite shocking - considering the average age of many voters in the State of Florida!  The numbers of people who are considered to be "senior citizens" in the State of Florida is very high.  AND - "senior citizens" often represent the conservative (Republican) party - making this proposal all the more perplexing and ludicrous!

It seems that the legislators in Miami-Dade have truly "gone over the edge" into the lunacy sphere - because they would be "cutting their noses off to spite their faces" by eliminating bathrooms at polling places.  People "of a certain age" definitely need to use the bathroom more often than younger folks, so this proposal makes NO sense at all.

Truth be told, I guess the politicos in Florida simply don't want ANYONE to vote anymore!  "Just leave it up to the billionaires to make and pass laws" - must be their thought process.  I don't know.

Honestly, I think AARP should jump on this issue "post haste"!

    •  Yes, But The Republicans In The Florida State (0+ / 0-)

House will make sure that the rich old white folks (who vote republican), will NOT have to stand in line for a long time to vote - thus, no need for a bathroom break. GET IT?? The ReTHUGlicans in the Florida state house will make sure heavily Republican districts have plenty of voting machines, all working properly, with lots of poll workers, so those voters don't have to stand in line.
