  •  Wow, shilling for a Republican. What's next? n/t (0+ / 0-)

There can be no protection locally if we're content to ignore the fact that there are no controls globally.

    •  Ban Nock is not "shilling for a Republican" (0+ / 0-)

if he is merely reporting what happened with a Montana lands protection bill and the fact is that a Republican quarterbacked its sponsorship.

Even stupid, anti-environmental protection republicans sometimes get it right.   Here in Michigan Rep Dan Benishek is sponsoring wilderness protection legislation for the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.   This is about the only beneficial thing he did, and he has been enormously damaging to environmental protection in numerous other ways (including such things as fighting mercury controls on cement plants).

That Dan Benishek did one right thing is not any basis not to go hammer and tongs to gain his defeat in November and most Democrats in his district will try to defeat him this November.   I'm sure that Ban Nock feels the same way about the republicans he'll be working to defeat in November.

I don't think you were justified in jumping down Ban Nock's throat in the manner you did with your 'shilling' accusation.   Please lighten up.
