  •  I was certain there would be a "Draft Jeb" (0+ / 0-)

    push at the 2012 Republican convention because it was obvious to anyone paying attention that Mitt couldn't win. I underestimated the power of the echo chamber in conservative politics. I also underestimated how short a Republican's memory could be. After a year of primary campaigning during which the overriding theme was "Anyone But Mitt", the GOP promptly forgot they hated him and didn't realize that the rest of the country remembered that even the GOP hated him. You can't win running a candidate you despise. He had no chance (thank God). If the GOP didn't want Jeb then, it's a pretty sure bet they won't want him in 2016. He's just not the right(est) guy.
