  •  I was listening to John Feinstein (13+ / 0-)

this morning -- he and his show staff (a bunch of younger guys, probably in their 30s or so) were discussing Hank Aaron's recent comments about how the Republicans were treating President Obama, and the hate mail directed at Aaron and the Atlanta Braves as a result. (I disagree with Feinstein's belief that he thought Aaron went a bit too far in likening the Republicans to the KKK, but that's another diary subject.)

In the course of the show he received a call from a listener, who identified himself as a black male who agreed with Aaron's statement. "When you hear what people on a reputable media outlet say about our President," the man said, "you can understand why Aaron made the statements he did."

"Wait a minute," Feinstein said, "are we talking about FOX News?"

The man said yes, he was.

"Well," Feinstein said, "I wouldn't consider them a reputable media outlet."

I howled. I wouldn't call John Feinstein a progressive, but having heard him on other outlets I'd say he's either a moderate or just slightly left of center. But that was just so funny at 6am in the morning (here on the Left Coast).
