your ancestors fit in.  You have such a wonderful way of personalizing the micro within the macro.  It's very clear that you've put a great deal of research and study into the subject.

The maps are way cool, as is Perez Churchill's headstone (eeeeeeerie).   But it was the names of a couple of characters in your diary, Ichabod and Zebedee, that brought a big smile on my face!

The American Revolution is my favorite war to read about, so thanks for this wonderful diary. I only wish my own ancestors were in America during this time period.  Alas, they were all still in Germany working the farms and trying to eke out a meager living (and often not very successful at it).

I grew up in a Revolutionary War town so we covered the local stuff in great detail. I was shocked as an adult to meet someone from Colorado who told me that, in her top-ranked public high school, the Revolution was largely considered "old stuff" that happened "back east" and of little concern to Coloradans. Some days I think we should've stopped at 14 states...

      Zebedee indeed.

“Republicans...think American standard of living is a fine thing--so long as it doesn't spread to all the people... And they admire of Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it.” Harry S. Truman
