I'm (pleasantly) surprised by almost all of the numbers for this particular quarter, and one is kind of shocking to me.  I'm surprised to see Cannon basically match Benishek this quarter.  I didn't expect Cannon to keep pace with a guy who has gotten a lot of money from outside the district.

I'm shocked by Bobby McKenzie's numbers in MI-11.  I'd really taken him to be the most some dude of some dudes.  Apparently, he's the real thing.  I'm not surprised to see him beat Bentivolio, really.  Krazy Kerry is not your consummate politician.  I guess maybe I'm most surprised by Trott in all of this since so much of his money is from himself.  This actually creates a problem in the Dem primary in that district, where by all accounts, Nancy Skinner is going to seriously compete for the nomination.

I think "shocked" was too extreme a word for my take on MI-11.  At the end of the day, it still appears that Trott will be able to buy this seat, and it matters not to the money whether it's from Trott's own pockets or not.  It's just weird to see McKenzie raise as much as he did given that he gets about zero media attention.
