wasn't there a concerted effort by the PA police to get the motorists actually sitting in the traffic to blame the mayor of Ft. Lee?

My own opinion is that all this was done to send a message to the mayor and probably others in Ft. Lee that they had powerful enemies in the both the government and the PA who could and would use their resources and influences to bear, even if it meant interfering with the lives of uninvolved, innocent New Jersey citizens. That's pretty damn ruthless.

Remember how twitchy the mayor acted? He was clearly someone who was actually afraid of someone or something, IMO. He acted like the kid who had his lunch money stolen daily finally being asked by the principal if this was what was happening. If he said yes and the bully was punished and expelled, all well and good, but if he said yes and the bully stayed in place in school, then things would probably get even worse for him.

but even the Bully that is expelled,

      returns again someday.

And such a Bully is NOT expelled from the neighborhood,

nor on the way home after-school.

About that disruptive "police action" -- that is an interesting angle.

I remember that Cops were blaming the Jam on the Mayor,

-- that higher-ups had told them to say that.

      What's up with that?

observation, I believe it reveals consciousness of guilt. Why would anyone ever blame a Governor for a traffic jam? The answer is that they wouldn't.

Unless, they had a part in it - is that what McKenna is acknowledging, perhaps without even realizing it?

they reveal truth by what's on their minds and must be released, in denial form. Lies point to truth, otherwise why lie? Freud said that anyone who listens can get the goods on anyone. Paraphrased of course, and he wrote in German.  Other than that ...

He didn't get punished at all. That's why the rotten Rs are so evil; the American people haven't punished them.
