  •  That's what makes it even more horrific (0+ / 0-)

to someone living in the US.
Imprisoning women and children, restricting movement, preventing aid and food from getting to Gaza, detention camps for refugees, stealing land, have I missed anything?
And before you get all outraged, let me say that the Palestinians are no better on the Human Rights stage, but they don't have the long history of oppression that Jewish Israelis have to look back on and learn from.

Your beliefs don't make you a better person. Your behavior does.

So segregating schools by gender and executing people in the street without trial is simply "no better" than Israel's human rights record?

False equivalence train, rolling along straight ahead!

      •  No, actually it's not (0+ / 0-)

Does Israel put people in prisons for years (including women and CHILDREN) without trial? Yes.
And by the way, there are schools in the US that segregate by gender, if that's supposed to be an example of horrific human rights abuse, you'll have to do a better job of convincing me.

...I don't live in the US?

Or that my being disturbed by comments along the lines of "didn't youze guys learn your lesson the first time around?" is not justified?

Yes, you've missed a lot.  But not exactly what you think.
