  •  mine was a snide comment - you and i know what (0+ / 0-)

"taking care of our own" means - but to us it is a very different concept than the 1% who would rather build gates and lock everyone else outside.

i follow the simple rule - what ever is within my sphere of touch, i own.  i can't solve the problems of the whole world but i CAN change that which is within my reach and it is my obligation to do so.  when i can extend further, i do that, too, but what i see, hear, feel - it is mine to become part of the solution.

if everyone did that simple thing, there would be so far fewer problems and so much less suffering in the world.

besides, when we can make a difference right now, right here - it lessens the burden overall, even if it means just stopping long enough to listen when someone needs to talk.

"walk on by" isn't my motto - won't and never will be... whether it be human, animal or the earth - stopping to pick up the trash in front of me because i can.  it is a simple philosophy but it works for me.

EdriesShop Is it kind? is it true? is it necessary?
