  •  No. It's a longstanding principle dating back (6+ / 0-)

    to 1805, that a Justice cannot be impeached for the content of his/her opinions.  That principle is necessary for an independent judiciary -- one that does not have to answer to Congress for the content of their opinions.  If Justices could be impeached because of the content of their opinions, you can rest assured that several justices on the Warren Court would have been impeached, as some of their opinions were extremely unpopular with a majority of the people (and Congress) at the time.
