The marketing experts in the article told CNN that the Klan could not rebrand. Other than referring to the group as a self-professed hate group (Really? We can't call the Klan a hate group unless it is self-professed now?), CNN's author essentially took an inexcusable neutral position, as though she is just relaying what others are saying but CNN lacks the backbone to highlight the absurdity of it without hiring mouthpieces to satisfy their criteria for objectivity.

And it does not even require a backbone for a news organization to straight out denounce the Klan for trying to rebrand itself. It is the KKK! Who is CNN afraid will condemn them for outright criticism of the KKK? Oh yes, the new viewers they have been pushing hard these days to poach from Fox.

If CNN  feels that this is a legitimate story, they should not be approaching it objectively. There is nothing objective about one's views on the Klan. You either support racism or you don't. Shame on CNN for making a strategic decision against coming down on the side of anti-racism.

**Electing Republicans to the government is like hiring pyromaniacs as firemen. They all just want to see everything burn to the ground.**
