Well, here's hoping all this attention will Get Through to Andy here! He Must Move Left!

Or something. Does anyone else wonder if this race couldn't be looked at as sort of a test? Can a candidate with The Cuomo Problem eke out a national race for, say, POTUS--and win?

This all started with "what the Republicans did to language".

I'm sure he meant in the general election. But WFP could easily choose to run a primary candidate against Cuomo, and I really hope they do.

I say this as someone who's had serious differences with WFP in the past, as well as someone who rarely supports third-party candidates in general elections, and then only in very local elections, when the Democrat is simply unacceptable and the Republican has no chance anyway. Yes, we sometimes have elections like that in NY.

I would never vote third-party in a general election, where it might give a victory to Rob Astorino. But I want an opportunity to vote against Cuomo, and so do lots of other people I know. If he's freaked out by the Siena poll results, he should see what a credible primary challenge would do to his image.

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."........ "The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." (yeah, same guy.)

if the WFP ran a primary opponent, it would be as a Dem.  There has never been a prohibition here re primary candidates.

I will not vote for Cuomo under any circumstances and know a lot of people who feel the same way.  That charter school bullshit last month was the final nail for me.
