    I thought the vote was going to be May 15th not the opening of comments. Still I think that just adds to this being hyperbolic. I remember SOPA and how that died. This very well might meet that fate between those viewing this as the 'end of net neutrality' and the fact that over the top content providers would be less than happy about this.

      diaries have made that error about the vote being on May 15.  That could not be the case.  In fact, since there is not a public proposal now, a vote on the rule on May 15 would effectively kill the proposal in the courts (temporarily, at least) since it would be the most blatant violation possible of the Adminsitrative Procedures Act.  That will not occur (the lawyers at the FCC are not dumb).   But, while it is good to begin organizing, this is not a sprint until May 15.  It is, at a minimum, a middle distance run until a final vote at the end of the year.
