    Smokeless tobacco is regulated and nicotine gum sales generally fall under the same regulations/policies.  e-cigs that deliver nicotine should be placed under the same regulations, as a start, one would think.

      particularly ultra fine particulates, in e-cig vapor from the ignition mechanisms. That's a big part of the newest concerns. The super fine particles can cause a lot of damage to lung tissue, one assumes it would aggregate over time, so something along the lines of silicosis could reasonably be expected to result.

      Also the potential for nicotine poisoning since the dosage is variable.

        along the same lines as similar products is the starting point while studies continue - unless they are willing to shut down the entire industry due to health concerns even beyond those of cigarettes/cigars.
