    me in tears, for I too feel the weight of the utter wrong which lived at the core of the society of men who also penned some of the most auspicious and awe-inspiring words in the history of Man.

    I cannot imagine how a man like Thomas Jefferson could write

    and continue to own human beings as slaves until his own death. Of the over 600 people he owned over his lifetime, he only emancipated seven of them.
