  •  I buy a wide range of lots of things online. (15+ / 0-)

Primarily, hobby stuff that I buy direct out of China. I get electronics for about 15% of the US retail price. I have to research the exact items but it's all there. I can then sell it to my fellow hobbyists at a great price to them while making a nice bundle on the side for myself.
The downside is some of my shipments might take 6 or 7 weeks.
I use the WalMart "pick up at store" buying stuff for my kids. I can order and pay for a crock-pot from home, and if it is in-stock at their store, they can pick it up a couple hours later. Worst comes to worst, it's a few days before the item gets delivered to their location, but the shipping is always free.
I buy bedding like sheets for about 1/4th normal retail prices.
Using Amazon, I buy CD's of rare or hard to find music. I buy the "used" for $1.99 often. They're usually in perfect shape other than being opened.
I order a lot of clothes because I am 2xl/long. Many places stock very few 2xl... let alone long.
I get my eyeglasses online for about 1/3rd of normal retail cost.
I make campground reservations all across America via the internet as well as order fishing licenses and park passes.
I buy tires for about 40% discount and because I'll spend 2 hours mounting them myself, I save $15 or so.
The list I buy online goes on forever.

    •  Campground reservations! (10+ / 0-)

Mr.AzB does that, too, and it's wonderful being able to book ahead while on the road.
Mr.AzB has also ordered glasses and sunglasses online for a fraction of the price.

      •  The eyeglasses (6+ / 0-)

are a major rip-off from the usual sources.
It took me a little bit of research to learn what all the numbers are on a prescription and get them entered properly, but after that, I was done.

If I wreck or lose a pair of glasses, the previous order is entered and saved online. I'm about 3 clicks away from ordering a replacement pair.

It really helped that my opto wrote a separate prescription fr reading glasses that focus at 28" for computer use, and a regular pair of "book readers" at 16".

Those cost $12 each. Sure makes life easier!
