i saw an old tree today

How many times has FrankRose flat-out lied in this one diary, alone? A dozen? Every one of them can be Hide Rated.

Mark Herring did list gun violence in his list of issues on his campaign website. It's right in there in "Public Safety."

Public Safety -- not a bad idea, the self-described "Oath Keepers" and Cliven Bundy's of the world might also learn to respect it rather than endanger it.

The links are here. First, an archive of Herring's website as it stood during the election: https://web.archive.org/...  Mouseover the "Issues," and "Public Safety" is listed. So click on Public Safety and what do we see? https://web.archive.org/... Keeping Virginians Safe. In one of only three sections, Protecting our Youth, Herring says:

I also believe we must do more to protect our youth. Recent tragedies like the one at Sandy Hook Elementary School have placed a spotlight on gun violence. I have and will continue to support common sense reforms to reduce gun violence including one-handgun-per-month and closing the gun show loophole. I also support increasing state resources to improve Virginia’s mental health system to ensure young people who need help are identified and receive the services they need. Unfortunately, the threat of gun violence is not the only danger our young people face today.
(The same quote was there in August 2013, under "Issues". This wasn't a late addition. It was the campaign platform he ran on. https://web.archive.org/...)
