  •  As I pointed out, removing the excuse (11+ / 0-)

just leaves Israel either scrambling for another, or failing to negotiate in good faith, as always, with our unconditional blessing.

Israel would, if she were acting in good faith, regard a Palestinian government as a good thing, because that means negotiating with representatives of all Palestinians, not just those of one of the OTs.

that he couldn't negotiate with a divided Palestine.  So, now....  ??

I think Israel (and/or AIPAC) has a large and problematic influence on our foreign policy and legislation as it relates to Iran and the Middle East. Since I've been hidden for saying this, I expect to be hidden every time I post with this sig.

The excuses don't even have to be good, as far as the American audience is concerned.

        •  No excuses. Fact. As long as Hamas (0+ / 0-)

is in power there will be no peace.

The amazing thing is that people here who would never countenance the Christian Right in the US continue to make excuses for Hamas, a group that makes Gary Bauer look like Bernie Sanders by comparison! These theocratic terrorists (who attacked civilian targets with rockets again just last week) need to either change their ways or be put out of business. Otherwise it matters not what anyone in the Israeli government does -- there will be no peace.
