the Ballmer group, which is liquid enough to take the team off Sterling / the league's hands right now, does so, and is promised an expansion team once they find a buyer and work out their arena.

    Difficult, difficult, lemon difficult.

when they build the new arena in Seattle that it can accommodate NHL size ice AND have good sight lines - unlike the Barclay's Center which will have an NHL team but the sight lines in some seats (like an entire section) will be 'obstructed views'

      Hope Seattle gets the team.

      •  it's crazy that Seattle doesn't have (0+ / 0-)

        a team in either sport.

Barlcay's Center with obstructed views is still better than the Nassau Colosseum.  (Though not as good as the Quebec Colisee  . . .) The NHL has two fewer teams in the Western Conference, so it's likely they'll expand -- Seattle's a no-brainer, but I don't know who the partner would be.  Austin?  Saskatoon?  KC?  Arena share with the new Warriors place in downtown SF?

I don't see the LA Clippers moving, though.  The fans who stuck with them in the Sterling years deserve to be happy with no Sterling and the current core.
