lack a part of the human trait of compassion and understanding.  He probably relates better to inanimate objects and not people and other living creatures.  It appears that he finds pleasure in obtaining "things" with the money he accrues through his personal cold, and uncaring ways and means.  All that is important to him is "winning", or "owning" and will say and do anything to accomplish those goals.
