    You mean Wikipedia is not infallible? Yes, I'm afraid so. To my knowledge, the Stearman Hammond borrowed its control arrangement from the Ercoupe, which had only two controls, the rudder and ailerons being linked. It was more or less "driven" through the air by turning the yoke, as was the Ercoupe.
