and a long history of good stewardship. However, ALEC, the Kochs, and too many corporate attorneys have slanted those rules and regs. Politicians working for their wealthy constituents have gutted regulatory agencies so there are too few inspectors, too few fines, too little oversight.

The heritage has been eroded so that we have communities being harmed by corporate practices that regulations allow.

It is not about banning this or that. It is about communities having the rights to self-governance to decide what they want for themselves in the way of safety, health and welfare.

Engaging in orchestrated science denial, which is what Gasland does, may stir up a lot of emotion and scare a lot of people.   But scared people and science denial does not and will not accomplish environmental improvement.
How about denial of citizen's rights? They are supposed to disbelieve their own eyes when they see flames coming from their faucets? Science is bought and paid for the same way our politicians have been.

As a result, what Josh Fox did in the movie was to manufacture evidence and causation at the scene.  That may be good drama for a movie maker and an accepted technique among corrupt police abusers during traffic stops.

But when it comes to documentary journalism and law / science / engineering what Josh Fox did with the flaming faucets scene is scientific misconduct and erroneous attribution of the causation of the problem.    And doing so in the manner he did is part of the organized lying campaign.

First, Josh Fox claims the flaming faucets were caused by

I have been deeply involved in the Parker County flaming water case and what Lake Superior writes is now true. He pretends he knows what's going on but he does not know the inside baseball. I do. Keep watching.
