    With ABC/ESPN, Disney Pictures, Pixar, etc.  It's still content generation, not delivery.

      Although there was a time when those generating content (studios) were divested of their delivery mechanisms (theater chains), by the 1948 US v Paramount antitrust ruling.

      But that - pre-AT&T breakup/www - was a different and much simpler world.

      Everybody forgets about VIACOM -- who owns CBS, Paramount, several cable channel and Viacom Distribution -- among others. It's only recently that you've begun to see that CBS/Paramount combination logo because those two names are more recognizable than Viacom. But, the point is still well taken -- content not delivery.
