      especially new reactor designs that cannot be deployed for decades, defies reason.

      He is the one who has pointed to the world the need to act strongly and quickly to deal with climate--and we agree. Nuclear cannot get us there; pretending that it can does, in our view, defy reason. That's a much narrower issue than your implying we dismiss him entirely. We don't. We value his contributions. We wish he understood nuclear and energy issues better.

      on energy supply, not so much.  

      There's no such thing as a free market!
