  •  THE funniest WH Correspondents Dinner speaker (6+ / 0-)

... EVER was Stephen Colbert in 2006.

Dumbya just sat there with a confused look on his face - until it dawned on him that Colbert was mocking him....  I'm guessing no one told Captain Codpiece that Colbert was not a real Repuke.

Trouble is, that something was their integrity.

top Stephen's brilliant biting performance.  The interesting thing was the lack of laughter - he cut so close to the bone they didn't know what to do.

Stephen is bloody brilliant at the deadpan serious delivery of his satire, and I could tell hardly anyone knew how to react.

Dumbya had been so serious about his lies and hype for war and torture and invasion of Afghanistan and then Iraq (neither of which should have happened since the whole thing was nothing but one huge war crime), that it didn't take much to shame the entire administration and skewer Dumbya, Dickie and their criminal cabal at the same time.

I'll miss that when Stephen takes over hosting the Late Show.
