In district 35, incumbent Zack Milkovich, who is a bit iconoclastic, not well liked by the party establishment, and somewhat conservative on social issues, has lost to Assistant Akron Prosecutor Greta Johnson.

And in district 79, an open Republican held seat, the Tea Party backed candidate Kyle Kohler has won.

For the Republican nomination. This is an open Democratic seat currently held by Connie Pillich who is running for State Treasurer. The establishment candidate Rick Bryan is currently up 48-43 over Tea Party backed Jonathan Dever. This is the most vulnerable D held seat and the only one I consider a Toss Up. A Dever nomination would be a boost for us.

Liberal challenger Jill Miller Zimon is down by about 600 votes or about 6% with half the votes in.  No word on which precincts are still out (if they favor her or not).

This is very good news for Team D. Dever up 46-45 with all precincts in.

I'll diary more on this later, but I think Dems have a good shot at taking away the GOP veto proof edge in the House in the fall.

...with 90% in.  I'm afraid she didn't make it.  She worked hard in an uphill battle, and at least Kasich-Dem Barnes will know he has a target on his back.
