in the 100 meter to over 200 meter lengths (over 600 feet long). The ship builders capable of building these are all booked years into the future with these commissioned supersized vessels. These floating ark class ships are using the highest tech materials designed to last, have hydroponic gardens, and heliports, etc. They are using Pascal's wager sort of logic to bet against the bulk of humanity and viability of nation-states to survive. So having the masses deluded into thinking it's a myth that climate change will be increasingly deadly and bring certain death to perhaps billions is rather convenient for them, allowing them them time to build their escapes, and preoccupying us with partisan politics, 'reality' shows, and slowly declining economic prospects for jobs, schools, etc.

They fully believe they can escape the looming chaos, food shortages, societal breakdown, via sailing away. Evading the chaos as continental coasts are being submerged and land masses subject to increasingly powerful storms or turning into desert dust bowls. They are betting hundreds of millions to multiple billions on their personal ark sized yachts and private global support systems.

They envision a world where it's the few of them against an unruly world of doomed desperate declining masses of humanity battling over scarce morsels of crappy food, turning into unruly mobs or living in gangs, struggling against pollution and horrid weather, and imagining that their biggest threat will be gangs of resourceful pirates. That may not be an unreasonable guess.  The biggest drug lords, global gangsters, have been investing in submarines that can evade most coastal defenses in order to deliver their product secretly, safely and in large volume.  How these submarine and surface vessels fair in a world of increasingly high energy storms will shift from being dependent upon size and stability to plain luck. So, this escape to sea is the escape plan of a last generation or perhaps a couple generations of the fewest richest people. Ultimately having bales of billions becomes meaningless, as no one may be left able to deliver anything equal to that stored up monetary value.  Of course with military drones able to fly the skies for days, months or longer, it's possible that no water vessel may be safe.
