  •  The day after the attack (11+ / 0-)

From CNN - this piece was posted on the 12th and then edited on the 13th, but it shows that the Administration was already discussing the likelihood that it was a terrorist attack:

The Obama administration may very well be right that the attack in Benghazi which claimed the lives of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other U.S. officials was part of a pre-planned terrorist operation. It would have happened sooner or later regardless of any protests against an obscure anti-Islam film made in America.

Any common sense person older than grade school understands a phrase "acts of terror" has the same meaning as terrorism.

This is a post I made on September 12th (the day after the attack) on another political forum here in KY:

Interesting. On MSNBC right now they're discussing that while the situation in Cairo seemed like a spontaneous "angry mob" scenario, the attack in Benghazi was more like a planned "commando attack".
Even "liberal" MSNBC was already discussing this early the next afternoon.   That day was the first time I heard the name "Ansar al Sharia".
