  •  Because it's a Recovery for 10% (5+ / 0-)

and more significantly, 1% and .1%.

The great failing of this administration, begun in 2009-2010, was it's failure to definitively identify the problem as Vacuum-Up Economics, put Wall St. on a leash, provide foreclosure oversight and relief, reform student loan rates as suggested by Warren, provide an adequate stimulus...

The 2008 election was a mandate for all that and more. Republicans, Wall St., and trickle-down economics were on the ropes. Third Way D's legitimized and resuscitated all of that, whether due to corruption or shared beliefs with the Reaganomic establishment...

Frankly, economic establishment D's have more in common with their counterpart R's than they do with us or the Party platform. We and the D platform have more in common with our counterparts in other countries than the D Party establishment.

    •  The Class War (5+ / 0-)

is as alive and well within the D Party as it is outside it. It may have a kinder, gentler demeanor, but the results go in the same direction: more austerity and concentration of income and wealth and power...

      •  It would take so little in terms of food stamps (4+ / 0-)

and other very small relative expenses to make such an enormous difference to families and children going hungry.

Anyone who has gone hungry knows how it can dominate ones every thought all day. I remember one day where most of the day I spend yearning for and imagining how I might be able to buy six eggs to "turbo charge" my Ramen Noodles for a week."

This was after I had a health event and bankruptcy after being a 1% er.

Yet the G.O.P. regularly forces extra $10s of billions into military spending, farm subsidies, and refuses to close corporate loopholes.
