    the critical demographic "GOP moderates who voted for Democrats" and the subgroup "GOP moderates who voted for Blue Dogs" once again proved essentially non-existent and not worth alienating any subsegment of the normal Democratic Base for. Though this lesson has been taught a great many times, it still has not been learned as the Dem party brass just proved yet again in FL.

      because I haven't followed that district closely enough. The data do show though that the big piece of the change nationally in midterms is from turnout, with a much smaller piece from switchers.
