    There aren't good numbers on solar produced recently to compare apples to apples, but the short story is it's sunnier here than in other countries with more installed capacity. That said, it appears I might have been mistaken on solar. Generation, so I'm going to need to do more research to see if we're really the world leader in solar production.

    However, for wind power, the Unites States is the world leader in power generated, hands down. Other countries have more installed capacity, but it's the same story: it's windier here. In fact, we generate 80% the wind power of the entire EU combined.

    And it's all thanks to President Obama.

      The U.S. still has some catching up to do with solar.

      But the President and the Dem governments in blue states are definitely putting us on the right track to achieve the #1 spot.
