  •  It's just a numbers discussion (8+ / 0-)

The unemployment rate, when it is discussed is just a numbers discussion debated and seen through partisan prisms. The actual toll, on a person, who cannot pay their bills, who cannot provide an answer for where do you work can't be quantified. When your personal unemployment rate is 100% relentlessly while your bills pile up and you are just hoping to get a job so that you can behind only a month on your most pressing bills, it takes a toll. It is depressing. And depression looks like giving up and laziness to the untrained eye. It's just facing reality of an "uncertain" market that has clearly shown you with great certainty that they are not going to hire you. Poverty is taxing and tiring. It's work. Relentless work, without pay.

By the way the Dow hit a record high.
