  •  Yeeeah, Thanks, Major K... (11+ / 0-)

I'm all over the south and midwest this weekend.  Somewhere between the deck and FL390 from Thurs-Sunday.

Thunderstorms are just no fun...we have to give them like 20 miles laterally "by the book", but as you well know that's not always possible.  So I have a nice weekend of (at least day time) flying to watch all those nice, cute puffy Q's turn into airplane-eating monsters at the Flight Levels.

A note: Squall lines were beloved by carrier and other sailors with aircraft onboard, because of the limited supplies of fresh water aboard, aircraft washdowns were conducted parsimoniously at sea sometimes.  However when we would find a nice squall line with zillions of gallons of free, fresh water coming down the Skipper would go park in it and the airplane washing would commence on the roof (if there was no lightning).  So there's that :)

    Fly safe!
