    This seems to be the new Republican way. If you didn't personally participate, it didn't happen.

    As Joan McCarter wrote about Boehner around this time last year:

    “We’ve got 70 [sic] 17 new members who have not had an opportunity to vote on the president’s health care law,” Boehner said. “Frankly they’ve been asking for an opportunity to vote on it.”
    So maybe some of those who aren't so cozy with the Civil Rights Act can still have their day. After all, they weren't around all those many years ago to vote on it, so why not have a re-vote? It's only fair, to allow Republicans to get to redo history.

      and see how many of them vote "no."

      Or maybe we need a referendum on independence from England, since most of us didn't get a chance to vote on that either.
