    Progressives aren't in a

pampered bubble untouched by real world troubles

Take me for example, I am privileged in that I'm white. However I am old, poor, live in a mobile home and have physical problems relating to autoimmune illness.

I am not living in any kind of pampered bubble.

Haven't you seen all of the fundraisers here, groups trying to keep fellow Kossacks and progressives afloat for just another month?

Are you unaware of Black Kos?

New Republic: So are the left-wing blogs as bad as the Tea Party ones in this case? -------------------------Chuck Schumer: Left-wing blogs are the mirror image. They just have less credibility and less clout.

    •  I am not privileged just because I'm white (0+ / 0-)

I hate that argument, and categorically deny it.   To me, that is as racist a statement as someone saying blacks are better basketball players just because they are black and can jump higher.

And, the rich progressives that make policy, in NY, CA, and MA, are living in a pampered bubble, just as much as rich libertarians are.  Almost every liberal in Congress is a millionaire, as is Obama.  In fact, Obama is the biggest wannabe of them all.  Just wait until he leaves office.  Can you say OJ or Tiger Woods?...cause that's the kind of validation he's looking for.   The Clintons, who many here are so ready to restore to the throne, are about as privileged and bubble-resident as any "progressives" in the country.

Then again, they're really just pro-life republicans without all the social prejudices, so I guess they don't really count.  But let's elect them anyway.
