The militarists are skilled at keeping their gravy train running; check their outsized share of federal spending. Even so, their calling attention to climate change, even with a selfish motivation, could help spread the message. Who knows what is needed to sound the alarm among the true believers. Salt water up to their necks? Maybe.

      •  What help will they give us? (0+ / 0-)

The US Military is not lobbying to save Juan de Cuba's house in South Florida, they are lobbying for funds to put down insurrections when people in South Florida are displaced.  Make no mistake about their objectives and mission in this trendy demand for funding.

I am really sorry to say that I am at the point where I believe that there are few people in political office or in our military who care about people living in America at all.  They care about having the systems in place to control people living in America, but not about serving and caring for people in this country.

Please note that I did not say "American Citizens" because it is totally obvious that citizens are as about as interesting to them as immigrants.  They are looking towards a model of governance that is basically from Marie Antoinette's playbook.  Obama and crew are totally vested in it, too.  Sorry, but I think that that is the ugly truth at this juncture.  Anyone who was really serious about actual people and their lives in this country would have hit this issue hard and would not have played the bullshit games with our future that they have.

That whole "thing" was about mismanagement of their economy.  This one is about destruction of the means to fix the economy.

In this replay of bad history, the well-off will delay action until the not-so need their stuff.  ALL of their stuff and more but there won't be any more.  Oops.

The thing to watch in this country is that drought will cause people to move out of Oklahoma but OK will still get 2 Senators.  Repeat throughout the middle west.
