    I wonder if it would be better if the Florida redistricting case dragged on until Florida had a Democratic governor.  I don't know if the gov office has any say in the process but maybe it will help Dems in 2016 more if any redistricting was done after Crist wiped the floor with the carcass of Sick Rot Rick Scott.

    •  Yes, Congressional maps can be vetoed (0+ / 0-)

      In Florida the Governor is able to veto a Congressional map passed by the legislature.  And considering this decade's state legiuslature maps make is extremely hard for the GOP to get a supermajority it's unlikely they could override a Crist veto.  If Crist get's elected and the republican legislature tried to do a court forced re-map in 2015 they'd have a hard time getting it through without a Crist veto if the map is still overly favorale to the GOP.
