For all the fun people have shouting BENGHAZEEEEEEE!, Benghazi really was a tragic event and the first US ambassador lost in many years.

It happened in a Democratic administration under a Democratic Secretary of State.  Those are facts that the administration is stuck with.

Putting Democrats on the panel creates an ability to say "We agree that it's terrible. We want to find out if there is anything we can do better so that there isn't a next time."

It also gives Democrats a chance to ask why there wasn't money for better security.  GOP might not like those questions.

and answered.  You sound just like Cowley, not surprising for a GOP apologist such as yourself, looking for answers that have already been provided, repeatedly.
As for the rest of your unoriginal commentary, everyone already knows it was a tragic event and that a US ambassador was lost, doesn't mean that it needs to be endlessly exploited for political purposes--unless you're a moronic GOP teabagger or one of their apologists.

whatever that creepy looking idiot is named.

this has been a pleasant comments section, with people arguing different PoV, making good arguments, and generally puzzling out a not obvious problem.

Would you mind leaving the "apologist" bullshit behind?  It speaks more about you than it does about Dinotrac.

pretty personal comment.  Maybe dinotrac believes there is something to investigate.  I'd find it hard to believe he enjoyed hanging out here if he's that far gone.  But I took it as him talking about the democrats approach.  It's not like this wasn't going to happen anyway.  So isn't it better to sound like the reasonable side?

It was a bad thing and it is out there.
It would have been a bad thing for Republicans if they were in charge.

Running away from it lets it grow by an order of magnitude.
