you know the people we're talking about!

If you think that the US has a strategic interest in a stable Afghanistan. You might be some people.

If you think that the failed policies of the previous administration are going to take longer to fix than they took to create. You might be some people.

If you think that drawing down troop levels to 1/3rd their current level is actually significant progress. You might be some people.

If you think Barack Obama is a more capable President than George W. Bush. You might be some people.

But that bar is so incredibly low that it is not even worth mentioning.

If you think Barack Obama is a more capable President than
(insert name of your choice of an actual capable president here) then a serious discussion might start on this subject.

rather than discuss the potential policy issues raised in the previous comment the reply latches onto the commenters support for Obama.

Life hold so many perfect examples, and even here on dkos, we have examples that are perfect, don't we?

We are well and truly blessed, aren't we?

people who would rather not discuss policy issues.

Schedule permitting, PROOF WILL BE PROVIDED ON HOW I AM BEING "CONSTANTLY CALLED OUT" AND "UNIVERSALLY RECOGNIZED" FOR BEING BAD. Moreover, the dossier on my activities during the Bush administration will have an appendix concluding that I am Wrong.

          the comment:

which latches on to the commenter's lack of support for Obama.

that was a tit for tat - you don't get to give one guy a pass and ding the other for the same thing fcol.

          •  my point exactly (0+ / 0-)

it seems it was an 'aha - he/she said they like obama - must refute' moment. Policy be damned.

            •  well, this was a pretty personal attack, and not (0+ / 0-)

one that could be construed from the comment it was in reply to:

If you think Barack Obama is a more capable President than George W. Bush. You might be some people.
so yeah, i would've probably felt the need to defend myself too for that statement.

now, your gripe would have more legs had the commenter left out that last dig and kept his comment about policy.
