    A Tornado tore through north of town, remember driving to Newton a few days after to go black light bowling (look its rural Iowa you take what you can get) and seeing mailboxes and large chunks of trees scattered everywhere.  Scary as hell.

      If you don't mind dating yourself.  I don't remember a tornado in Grinnell.  My friend lives in Creston and that town got nicked by a tornado just a couple of years ago.

        April to be exact, I graduated in 2004 and 2001 was the only time the sirens went off and it wasn't a test.
